Day #27 of 30/30

Wandering … In my painting themes, I am traveling about between Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Vermont. We stumbled upon this barn on the famed Route 100 on the east side of the Green Mountains. It is one of many idyllic scenes on this route. Please email me at karolenicholson@karolenicholson.com if you are interested in purchasing.
Day #26 of 30/30

Captured …. As I mentioned earlier in this challenge, I try to have my camera with me at all times, never knowing when you will happen upon a scene that asks to be painted. When I was delivering two 30 day challenge paintings, on Agricultural Avenue in Rehoboth, I passed this field, then immediately backed […]
Day #25 of 30/30

Morning Glow … This was again a scene captured on our morning walk at Slater Park on The Ten Mile River Greenway. Sometimes even taking a photo is a challenge, getting the right angle, and enough info to suggest a pleasing composition. But going with the 5 x 7 horizontal format worked well for this […]

Day #23 of 30/30

Vermont Birches … Coming up the dirt road toward the Von Tapp Family Lodge in Stowe VT, these birch trees seemed like centurions for this breathtaking field with mountains in the distance. It was a simple, beautiful site, void of any complications. Email me at karolenicholson@karolenicholson.com if you are interested in purchasing.
Day #22 of 30/30

Amicable Diversion Since slipping a trip to Vermont into the mix in mid September, I could not do so without photographing and painting a barn or two. This was a classic with hay bales, tractors, and the iconic red barn. Email me at karolenicholson@karolenicholson.com if you are interested in purchasing.

Day #20 of 30/30

Once again, finding my mews on Water Street near West in Attleboro. A 2nd view of the brook fed by Mechanics Pond and the Bungay River. The spring greens are fading to yellow and golden greens of early autumn but there is still a lushness to be savored here in “Verdant September”. Enjoying these private […]
Day #19 of 30/30

Three days ago I zoomed into capture the water lily action. Today, still mesmerized by what local brooks and ponds have to offer, I was drawn to this scene on Water Street in Attleboro near West Street. This scene is of the tiny brook which is connected to Mechanics Pond and the Bungay River. Fisherman […]
