Someday you just want to view things up close, absorbing the details, simplifying the shapes when you squint down, appreciating the connection you have made with an intimate slice of landscape life. So was the case on this morning quest … I ended up at Carl’ Pond, a local fisherman’s retreat at the corner of Jenck’s Road and West Wrentham Road in North Cumberland RI. The big picture was ho-hum, but the close up view of the grasses in the water was sweet. Zoomed In is a 6” x 6” pastel.
