It appears that the month of March is a prime time to kick off the new year with art events. I am privileged to be participating in 3 exhibitions between March1st and March 15th. Here are the details, hope our paths cross at one or all three of these spirited shows.

Women in the Arts II
On Saturday March 1st, from 7-10PM , The Preservation Framer located at 16 North Washington Street in North Attleboro will host an opening of  the Women in the Arts display. This show features the work of 12 area women artists of which I am one.

What a perfect opportunity to witness the unique application of our chosen mediums and to recognize a pattern in the subjects that call out to us.

“Light Embrace” Art Show and Sale
I invite you to join me at the Community VNA Gallery, 10 Emory Street in Attleboro on March 8th from 4-7PM. The show will feature new works, small works and a special selection of sale priced paintings. Landscapes | Flowers | Still Lifes | Abstracts

Spring Show – The Next Door Gallery in Mansfield
Adjacent to the Happy Hollow Frame Shop, at 250 North Main Street in Mansfield, owner Ellen Cree hosts four openings each year. Featuring oils, pastels, watercolor, photographs and sculpture, there is always an eclectic blend of style. This exhibit will take place on Saturday, March 15th from 7-9PM.

Many months are spent in the studio, preparing, designing, prepping, sketching, painting, critiquing, organizing, cataloging and photographing finished work. These shows are a time to celebrate and absorb the viewers reactions to what you have created. Have you been successful in sharing the intimacy of a summer field, an early morning path, the quiet marsh on a late afternoon in September?  It is very gratifyings to think that you have captured a moment in time!
